This free one hour video webcast gives you the rare opportunity to be inspired by an amazing, true story of spiritual courage under fire.
In November of 2008, Pakistani Muslim terrorists attacked Mumbai. One of their targets, the 5-Star Oberoi Hotel, was where Virginia based spiritual teacher Master Charles Cannon and his twenty-four associates were staying. During the ensuing 45-hour siege, four in their group were wounded and two long time members were killed. When rescued by SWAT teams and interviewed by the international media, the survivors expressed only compassion toward the terrorists, offering words of forgiveness, not accusation. This catalyzed a deluge of e-mail messages and phone calls from around the world. "I am inspired by your response," people wrote. "How did you get to be the way you are?" And, "How can I learn to be that way too?"
The book answers those questions.
And now, on this free webcast, you can meet Master Charles Cannon and hear directly from him about what enabled him and his associates to answer hatred with love.
Introducing the event is Robert Plath, founder of the World-Wide Forgiveness Alliance. Bob is a pioneer in the forgiveness field; we are honored to join the global movement that he and others have initiated.
Marianne Williamson joins us. Marianne is the author of 14 books, 4 of them New York Times Best sellers. She founded The Peace Alliance and Project Angel Food, a meals-on-wheels program that serves homebound people with AIDS in the Los Angeles area.
You will also hear from Neale Donald Walsch, author of the Conversations with God books. Neale wrote the Afterword for the Forgiveness book and said, "The most special aspect of this remarkable book is not what you will find in it, but what you will find in you after you read it."
The same could be said about this webcast. What's more important than what you will see and hear is the transformation that can occur within yourself by participating. This webcast is designed to be an experience, not a spectator sport!
You will meet Kia Scherr who lost her husband and young daughter in the attack. She responded by co-founding the One Life Alliance, which has as its mission to honor the sacredness of all life.
"Answering hatred with love..." What could be a more worthwhile skill to learn, practice, and master. We look forward to welcoming you to this free video webcast and thank you for your willingness to play your part in the growing world-wide forgiveness movement.
"I choose forgiveness today" is the personal mantra for this event and it is also the text from a badge that is available without charge to all participants.
